We visited the gynae on Monday and we praise God that Baby E is growing well in mummy. Mummy has been feeling lots of kicks and stretching in her upper right abdomen. Dr Paul confirmed that baby is head down in the LOA (Left Occiput Anterior) position. It is the easiest fetal position for the start of labour and helps the baby be in the smallest diameter to fit the pelvis.(Source: http://spinningbabies.com/learn-more/baby-positions/other-fetal-positions/left-occiput-anterior-loa/).

We did Yellow mango jelly today. Mummy had bought the Mango jelly pack in Australia during our recent holiday as I had observed that it is difficult to get Yellow jelly crystals here locally. And what a better idea since the sweet honey mangoes are in season now. Faith helped Mummy to cut the mangoes into smaller pieces with a plastic knife and she wanted to do it herself towards the end! She also helped to stir the mixture then watched as Mummy place the mango pieces into each cup and then pour in the jelly mixture. Aiya, no pictures of Faith enjoying the jelly as she wasn't really interested in it. :P Faith also did some colouring today. She is supposed to colour the first shape - a circle, in yellow. She chose the other 2 colours. She put the colours in as Mummy say out the shapes and the colours. For the triangle, you can see that she did get a little help from mummy. For the last shape, she seemed more interested to colour the duck than the triangle - I let her... :) Brushing teeth is part of our bedtime routine and no matter how late, we always get her to brush her teeth. Some friends have been checking with us when we started Faith on the routine. We started brushing her gums with a soft brush even before she started solids. Once her teeth grows out, her PD gave us reminders to remember to brush her teeth to prevent tooth decay, probably due to higher sugar content in milk powder nowadays. We started helping her to brush and gradually we allowed her to try brushing on her own. These days, Faith will brush her teeth with Papa and Mama. She tries to model moving the brush in her mouth. Of course we will have to help her clean her teeth more thoroughly after that. Recently, we've been trying to get her to rinse her mouth too. She knows she needs to spit out the water after that but is still trying to get it right. :) Papa also brought Mummy to the gynae today for routine checkup and praise God that Baby Edward is doing well. Mummy has gained a little too much weight though, over the CNY and Aussie trip. Time to go slow on the carbs... No photos today as we didn't do the scan, the gynae just listened to Baby E's heartbeat. Await more scan photos from the next visit, next month.
We had a bear sandwich for breakfast today, but Faith was too fast to tear it to pieces - thus no photos. After breakfast, we read some stories on bears and did a Bear poem too. We did dotting activity of the letter X which we had done in Heguru. Faith tried to do the dotting today, following the circles. Great to have this wonderful set of Do-a-dot worksheets shared by Erica via Confessions of a Homeschooler website And while Faith had her morning nap, mummy went down for a swim. Thank God for the great sunny weather and mummy was able to do a record of 8 laps for this pregnancy. Building up strength and stamina for the little one that's coming. We had an exciting afternoon and evening as we met up with Auntie Regine who's back from Ireland for the CNY holidays and also with Gugu too! Faith was tired out by the activities and fell asleep - not before mummy sang her favourite Phonics songs. We had a great evening over dinner and fellowship with our church caregroup friends. Faith enjoyed watching the fishes swimming and a hamster in the cage, and enjoying the cucumber strips which was part of the popiah party set. :)
Praise God! We are happy to announce that God is blessing us with a son. Thank you Jesus for hearing our prayers and granting us our heart's desires. :)
"For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well" Psalm 139:13-14 We just went for detailed scan today and confirmed that we'll be expecting a boy come June - Yes, same birthday month as jiejie Faith. We thank God that little didi is developing well. All glory to God! Tummy is getting bigger. Mummy's weight at 60.4 kg and baby Faith's at 2.3 kg. :)
Managed to go for a swim today, in the morning bright and early. Had a long day today. Picked up our helper, Mary and oriented her for a short while before going Mummy's place for dinner (known to Mary as "Grandma", even before the arrival of Faith). She stayed there at Mummy's place while we went for our prenatal class with WBB. Had a hands-on session today with bathing techniques, soothing techniques, swaddling and cloth nappy wrapping. Still vaguely remembers how I had helped fold the cloth nappies for sister Ming. That was like so long ago but seems like yesterday. :P Just visited the Dr Paul this morning and verified that Baby Faith's head is down. I have been feeling strong movements on my upper right tummy (now confirmed kicks from her legs). At 32 weeks, mummy's weight is 59.1 kg and baby Faith's 1.7 kg.
Our last activity for this blog was eons ago. With baby Faith coming, it's time to keep proper records. :)
Thank God for watching over me through my first 2 trimesters of pregnancy. It was really a breeze. No morning sickness at all and no real cravings. As I move into the last trimester, things are getting more exciting. Movements of the little one are more and more evident. On the other hand, as tummy gets bigger, there's the irritating aches that gets in the way. Can't stand or sit or walk for too long at a stretch. Thanks to darling Bernard, who never fail to shower me with tender loving care, who doesn't fail to give me the nightly rubs and massages. And to my many friends and family who have been taking good care of me. :) |
