Thanks darling for bringing me out for a yummy Dim Sum dinner. This restaurant comes highly recommended and operates 6 pm to 6 am. It occupies a few shophouse units along Jalan Besar. Free parking in the vicinity after 5 pm. We can see some tourists trying out the food. There is a counter for take-aways too. Service is efficient with many wait staff, servers, and cooks too. Faith was good this morning. Started the day well with sitting on the potty and peeing in it. After breakfast, we did our usual flashcards and some homeshool activities. Mummy reinforced what we covered the previous days, identifying Lion and the colour Green. We also went through the Bible memory verse "Be generous and Share". :)
Another activity of the day was colouring the shapes. As usual, some of the shapes have to be filled with a specific colour and others Faith gets to choose. Instead of crayons, Mummy chose the Do-a-dot markers for Faith today. Coincidentally, she chose various shades of Green for some of the shapes. It was a warm day and we did water play after lunch. We had bean sprouts for lunch - which Faith enjoyed, eating them strand by strand. Mummy had the inspiration to let her grow Green bean sprouts. Faith seemed to be pretty amazed with the beans on the cotton. Our TV at home has become the "blackboard" where we place our unit posters. I had typed out the verse of the unit so that it is more visible for Faith. We had also borrowed new books from the library. Below is a picture of some. Also check out the lion craft that we did this morning. :)
Our outing to Upper Pierce Reservoir for our morning walk and some bubble fun. After some yummy prata at Casuarina prata - Papa's and Mama's first dating place. :P
Our cutie pie turns 22 months today and here are some photos for the records. Thank God that Faith is recovering well from her flu and cough and we are in the midst of fattening her up. Thank God too that her appetite is returning. :) What did we do today? We did our usual flashcards and reading of books and then we did a simple colouring activity with Mummy's help. We also wrapped up a present for Baby Gareth's birthday party tomorrow and also one for Edward Didi who's coming very soon! Counting down! :)
April is our month of feasting as we celebrate our birthdays. Here are some of the belated photos: To start off, we had a mini celebration with just the few of us. Missing Gugu who was away in Japan. Next, it was Grandpa's birthday. We had to celebrate at home with packed Tze Char dishes, instead of eating out, as Faith was not well. :P On Wednesday, we had our birthday celebrations at Heguru and a yummy lunch with my dear friends - my fave Thai food again! :) Thursday - Mummy's birthday! Got a lovely bouquet sent to office by my darling! Dinner surprise was at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante - our first time there. There was quite a good dinner crowd for a Thursday, with dating couples, families as well as groups of friends. Love the yummy and unique Italian food. Realised mint was used in many of the dishes. The portion was just nice for us. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs too. It helps that Faith was very very friendly and we received double portion of bread (which I love) and mashed potato in her own plastic bowl. And there was a 1-for-1 promotion to sweeten the deal. :) Saturday - It's Papa's birthday! Faith was still unwell and we had to bring her to her usual PD in the morning. While she rested at Grandma's place, Papa and Mama went to fetch our new helper. We passed by this Korean restaurant in the area. Seeing that there were still many diners past lunch hour, we decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, the food was very authentic and yummilicious! Better than many of the Korean fare we tried in Korea! Thumbs up for Kim's Family Korean Restaurant. Address: 17 Lorong Kilat, #01-06 Kilat Court, Singapore 598139 (Other outlets: Clementi and West Coast) 12:00pm - 03:00pm (Last Order: 2:30pm) 05:30pm - 10:00pm (Last Order: 9:30pm) * Every 1st and 3rd monday of the month closed. Sunday - It's another round of celebrations! Thanks to my caregroup for the surprise cake after morning service! It was another fruity mango cake. Yumz! We had a family dinner and yet another cake! Dinner at The Good Trio was our first try too and dishes were rather unique to be worth a try. Address: #01-111, Thomson Plaza, 301 Upper Thomson Rd, Singapore 574408 We are thankful for our family and friends; all the blessings of love, angbaos, presents and prayers that have been bestowed upon us. We are thankful and grateful and give thanks to God for you. :) We are back to our learning routine today. Thank God that Faith has recovered - no more fever, just a few coughs now and then. For those waiting for an update, here's something we did today. A little card to welcome our new helper, part of our kindness activity. Mummy did most of the colouring but Faith helped in the writing. :) Throwback to Sunday and Monday - Thank God that Faith is well to enjoy her new train set which Gugu got for her from Japan. Choo-choo - one of her faves for now. Smile! :)
It has been a few days since our blog has been updated. We've all been busy as we are in between helpers. So Daddy and Mummy are the "helpers" of the week. It was especially tiring today when Faith fell ill. Her temperature shot up quite high to 38.9 degrees and Mummy had to rush her to the clinic. Thank God that Mummy can be around to be with her and bring her to the doctor, with Grandma's company and help too. Thank God also for Dr Cheong of Stirling Clinic @ Lorong Lew Lian. She's such an experienced doctor whom Mummy has seen from young. Thank God that Faith's temperature came down and she's recovering well after first round of medicine. Throwback to last Friday - We had the Grand Opening of Apgujeong at Punggol Waterway Point! No colouring or perm for pregnant mummy but got did hair treatment and had a haircut by none other than Kyle himself. We took the opportunity to have lunch at Rong Hua Bak Kut Teh too. Yummy! Mummy also took the chance to shop at the newest Times Bookshop and got more books for Faith with the birthday discount! :) Shots grabbed off Apgujeong's Facebook page: Friday was also the last day of Auntie Mary, our helper. We had dinner with our church caregroup before going back to get her luggage and sending her to the airport. Daddy did an awesome job looking after Faith (with Tai Ma's and Gu Po's help) while Mummy was at work! Faith did great yesterday during meal times and finished her meals without much "entertainment". But her appetite was no good today as she wasn't feeling well. Pray she recovers soon and have her good appetite back. Amen!
This morning we did our usual of flashcards and story reading. We read a new book on a cat painting a big brown box red, to make a fire engine. Faith was rather fascinated with the fire engine page. Time to bring her to the fire station soon... We did a little hand puppet of a cat. We had to trace and cut out the shape. Faith didn't really like mummy to help today and wanted to use the scissors on her own. Mummy had to take it from her and completed the cat with a little drawing too. Next activity that mummy thought of on the spot was to do a little "painting" - mess free with the help of a ziplock snack bag. We mixed some blue and red to get purple paint. Recently, we also noticed that Faith is able to play independently on her own at times. Sometimes, taking a book and "talking" to herself, as if she is reading. Faith is really growing up. Next step is to train her to keep her own toys and books after play.
Every period of time, she also has an item which she's crazy about. Previously, it was a Puffing Billy train brochure which we took back from Australia or her Pororo bath toy (she calls "park", after visit to Pororo park) etc. And most recently, it is the fan which Ah-Gong got from a bus roadshow. (see picture below) We visited the gynae this morning. We brought Faith along to see her Didi. We thank God that Didi is growing well. We did a scan this visit but the scan photo didn't show up very clearly. Till next time. :P
