]]><![CDATA[Edward @ 7 months]]>Mon, 06 Feb 2017 14:19:05 GMThttp://www.1heart1voice.com/home/edward-7-monthsEdward has been developing well. Praise God! He had his 3rd dose of 6-in-1 jab today and he didn't even cry at all! :)

As of today, he weighs 8.4 kg (50-75%), height 71 cm (75%) and with head circumference
​of 43.2 cm.

Milestones:
  • 2 front teeth
  • can sit up
  • loves wheeling around in his "Ferrari" walker but still loves being carried
  • recognises family and shows preference on whom he wants to be carried by
  • discovers his voice!!!

On the eve of CNY, we celebrated the occasion at Faith's school - all dressed in red. Notice her Pororo toy and bag that accompanies her wherever she goes in school.
We spent the afternoon doing up more lanterns with red packets and Didi Edward joins in to help out too. :P

Evening we had our reunion dinner at Tai Ma's place with our usual very yummy home-made yusheng and a table filled with delicacies.

Day 1 of the Lunar New Year - We tried taking a nice family photo, but it is just so tough with an active toddler and a squirmy baby. What's posted is the best we can manage.

Day 2 - Being a Sunday, we went to church as usual. Check out our outfit of the day.
​Evening, we went to Chinatown for dinner and to look at the giant rooster (when the whole world is at River Angbao).
Day 3 - We thank God for the long weekend for more precious family time. With the good weather, we headed out to the Botanic Gardens and had some outdoor fun! :)

The entire family has to adjust to changes from the onstart as we prepared Faith for the start of formal schooling. It seems that Faith has become so grown-up overnight - like insisting to carry her bag on her own! Here are some photo highlights! :)

]]><![CDATA[school orientation]]>Thu, 08 Dec 2016 14:10:53 GMThttp://www.1heart1voice.com/home/school-orientationWe've enjoyed our year of homeschool fun but it's time to say Hello to formal schooling. We had her nursery orientation end of last month and I am glad that Faith warmed up to the teachers and environment well. It was a light session with the Principal running through the slides and then to get the uniforms and make payment for the fees for the first term. We've cashed out quite a bit from the CDA account in a single day!

Next we headed to her classroom to meet her teachers. There was Mrs Rajan and 黄老师 - both look experiened and were able to engage Faith briefly. What we like about the school was that each class has its own classroom and there were lots of common areas, both indoors and outdoors. Pray that Faith will be able to adjust well and fast in school. The next important step is Potty Training! Arghz!

For the record, Edwards weighs a hefty 7.52 kg (75%) and measures 66 cm long (90%).
We were advised to start him​ on solids only a month later. That will be just before Christmas! Excited that he'll be able to join us at the table soon!

​p/s: Ikea highchair is ready for him! :)

Our Christmas tree is up! And this year, Faith is old enough to help in decorating the trees. In line with our MFW unit, we added some pink bears to the tree. ;)

We were early and had some time at the viewing gallery for Faith to watch planes and also to play at the small playground! It was the start of school holidays and there were too many rowdy children. Faith was knocked down by a big boy.. Also see Tai Ma having fun at the colouring corner too.

And Mama gets to have her favourite 老婆饼 by special request - the fresh kind, not individual packs. Yumz! :)
