Times passes so fast and Faith is already 6 days old! Had a visit to the Pd this morning, Dr Ong EK at Mt Alvernia. Priority given for newborns but still had to wait a while. No jaundice so can stop sun tanning. However, her wait dropped to 3.2 kg and was advised to supplement more. Had a visit from doula Catherine and she gave more support on breast feeding. Got fenugreek too. Pray the milk will come in more and enough for Faith to grow healthy and strong. Amen!

Faith was still crying considerably in the morning. She manages to latch on fine but starts stirring after a while. Not sure why??? It's really a test of the parents' patience. Decided to do hand expression for the colostrum ad we can see an increase in the amount compared to yesterday. Did one round of electric pumping in the afternoon too and it yielded a few ml; not much but it was obvious. A sign to show that Faith has been taking enough - till now 7.30 pm, there has been one change of diaper for urine and 2 for poo. The hand-expressed colostrum has done her well and she has been sleeping soundly now for the past hour while mummy and the rest of the family have their dinner. And to help her to rest better tonight, daddy went out this afternoon to get some breast milk for Faith and Auntie Huiming got her the syringes for feeding. All ready for a better night! :)
Finally, we are coming to the end of the pregnancy journey. Visited gynae for regular review yesterday. My weight stands at 62.7 kg and blood pressure is ok. Baby Faith is doing well too. Didn't scan today but heart beat is normal. Thus, the waiting game continues. Going to enjoy morning prata breakfast now... :)
