These 2 days, she also enjoys holding onto the pack of flashcards and just imitating Mama by saying "A, B, C, ...." or sometimes "1, 2, 3, ..." although she knows very well the words on the cards. :P
And while we are still waiting for Baby E to be out, lessons at home continues... Here's what we did today. First time doing something on Shadows and Faith was able to identify the shadows for the worksheet. Mama helped with the colouring again. We did 2 rounds of the shadow game and Faith was able to match the cards perfectly for both rounds! Her observation skills is wonderful. p/s: From the newspapers today, she was able to point out her favourite Pororo (a tiny picture) from an advertisement.

Today we celebrated Faith's 2nd Birthday at Swensen's Nex. To celebrate Faith's birthday, Huizhi ordered her a Pororo (her favourite Cartoon Character) Cake and bought two Pororo helium balloons for her.
Faith has been a great blessing to us, our families and people around her. She is well loved for her smile, joy and gentleness. May the LORD continue to shine His face upon her and be gracious to her. May the joy of the Lord be her strength and may her smile, joy and laughter continue to bring joy and happiness to people around her. Love you very much Faith! We are grateful and thankful to God for having you in our lives. Faith chose her favourite Yellow for this activity again. With the MFW curriculum, we started writing numbers today, "1". Faith was able to follow by starting right at the top with the dot as a guide. After several strokes, she shifted her attention to the Panda and started colouring it instead. :) Faith's piece of work:
Finally reached Week 40 of pregnancy! Mummy's weight at 59.1 kg. We didn't do the scan these last 2 visits, so not sure how heavy Baby E has grown. Let's see...
Saturday - Pororo is one of Faith's favourite cartoon character now. And mummy immediately jotted down the date of this Young Parents event that featured Pororo and friends! The first show of the day was at 1 pm. There was a crowd when we arrived around 12.50 pm. The venue was small and the queues for various activities was snaking here and there. Mummy managed to get a seat while Papa with Faith squeezed to the front to get a better view. The song segment was rather short, about 5 minutes only! We weren't in time to get the photo-taking tickets either and Faith cried as Pororo left the stage area!
So no choice, we had to queue for the photo taking pass for 1.5 hours, next show at 3 pm! The things parents will do for their child! Now we understand! :P And while our helper waited in queue, Papa brought Faith to join in the other fringe activities. Photo taking and Longkang Fishing - both long queues as well. Today's weather was a little wet. We did our usual learning in the morning and we have the sticking activities today. We did the art and craft of a Panda, followed by a few pages of Faith's sticker book. It was still drizzling when we were done with learning, so we proceeded to prepare a little surprise for Papa. ;) Papa has always mentioned that he likes Chinese paper wrapped cupcakes (紙包蛋糕) from young and this recipe was simple enough for a heavily pregnant Mama. Allowed Faith to have some fun too. Got a tube of coloured gel for the wordings so it was a pretty simple decor for the cupcakes. Refer to the original recipe here: http://nasilemaklover.blogspot.sg/2014/06/chinese-paper-wrapped-cupcakes.html?m=1 The cakes looks so yummilicious that Mama had a hard time keeping Faith's hands off them! :P And we prepared a gift for Papa too. The art and craft was done during Faith's Heguru class last week. And finally Papa is back from work! Photos of Papa and Faith before both try the cupcakes. Haha, see Faith eyeing the cupcakes... Bonding time with Papa at the keyboard...
Monday, we went to the library to return the books and got new books for the new unit! Look at some of the books which we will be reading.
Tuesday - we visited Dr Paul again for our review. When we arrived, he had just stepped out for a delivery at Mount A so we had to wait for a little while. Today's consultation was rather short. Mummy didn't gain any weight but Baby E is well and comfortable in Mummy. Head is engaged - no wonder mummy is making more frequent visits to the toilet, even at night! Dr Paul listened to the heartbeat which shows that Baby E is well. Next visit in a week's time. :)
Faith's development While waiting at the gynae, Faith was asked by 2 other mummies "What's your name?" and "How old are you?" and we realised she's able to answer well. Each time, she'll say "Faith" and "2". She's able to show "1" with her fingers and do "thumbs up" occasionally but she's still not able to do "two". So one day last week, she cleverly held 2 "ones" together to show "two". I have a smart toddler. :) We celebrated Cousin Joel's birthday. A simple dinner and a simple cake but with lots of best wishes. Blessed 21st Birthday Joel! :) Sunday, we headed to Mount Faber after service. We had our lunch at Spuds and Aprons. First time trying their lunch menu and the food portion was great and food was yummilicious. The crab meat fried rice was sufficient for two!
After that we visited the Tetra Kids carnival which mummy had earlier registered for. We got the goodie bags with a beach ball, magazine with wet wipes sample, fish food and some brochures. We received a fighting at the carnival too! There was the carnival where children can win coupons by participating in the booth games and the coupons can be exchanged for some prizes. See Faith attempting the fishing game - the simplest of all the games! :P We thank God for a wonderful afternoon, with good and breezy weather. :) |
