Love this Joy Cowley series. It's simple to read and Faith is able to enjoy the story with us. :)

It's Faith's birthday this month and she received a beautiful card and gift from Heguru Method! Love this Joy Cowley series. It's simple to read and Faith is able to enjoy the story with us. :) We also realised that Faith's favourite colour is Yellow! True to her surname 黄. When asked to choose a colour for her crayons or colour pencils, she always chooses Yellow! So there we have a Yellow squirrel - before she covered it all in Brown, our colour of the month. :P We did the sticker book today too. This book came with some word stickers. Initially skipped the words for the first few pages but decided to try it with her today and she surprises me by being able to pick out the correct words from a list of 5 words! (The helping word guide was in greyscale). And she's also able to paste the word the right side up. My Faith is growing up! :)
Thank God for watching over her growth and development! :)

Tuesday - Today's is Gugu's birthday and we've arranged to meet for dinner. We were on our way to fetch Ah Gong and Ah Ma from their home before dinner and we got to enjoy the beautiful sunset too! :) We had the dinner at Chye Lye Curry Fish Head Restaurant opposite Sembawang Shopping Centre (1 Jln Legundi, Singapore 759263). A place where we have not frequented in a while. Food is still as good. :)
One ah-ha moment for the evening: Conversation between Faith and Gu Por. G: Do you know who likes to eat corn F: Faith! G: (Shock, never expect Faith's answer or even a response) cos Gu Por wanted to say Africans like to eat corn. Saturday - We had a celebration for Lao Ma's birthday cum belated Mother's day celebration for all the mummies. The tradition all along is to celebrate Lao Ma's birthday during Mother's day as she just refuses to share when is her actual birthday...
The last time we gathered as an extended family was during CNY. Like during CNY, we ordered Hai Di Lao and added on some other specialties. All of us were so full at the end of the day. A birthday of course cannot be short of the birthday cake and the Happy Birthday song. See Faith having so much fun. She must have thought it is her birthday. Haha! April is our month of feasting as we celebrate our birthdays. Here are some of the belated photos: To start off, we had a mini celebration with just the few of us. Missing Gugu who was away in Japan. Next, it was Grandpa's birthday. We had to celebrate at home with packed Tze Char dishes, instead of eating out, as Faith was not well. :P On Wednesday, we had our birthday celebrations at Heguru and a yummy lunch with my dear friends - my fave Thai food again! :) Thursday - Mummy's birthday! Got a lovely bouquet sent to office by my darling! Dinner surprise was at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante - our first time there. There was quite a good dinner crowd for a Thursday, with dating couples, families as well as groups of friends. Love the yummy and unique Italian food. Realised mint was used in many of the dishes. The portion was just nice for us. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs too. It helps that Faith was very very friendly and we received double portion of bread (which I love) and mashed potato in her own plastic bowl. And there was a 1-for-1 promotion to sweeten the deal. :) Saturday - It's Papa's birthday! Faith was still unwell and we had to bring her to her usual PD in the morning. While she rested at Grandma's place, Papa and Mama went to fetch our new helper. We passed by this Korean restaurant in the area. Seeing that there were still many diners past lunch hour, we decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, the food was very authentic and yummilicious! Better than many of the Korean fare we tried in Korea! Thumbs up for Kim's Family Korean Restaurant. Address: 17 Lorong Kilat, #01-06 Kilat Court, Singapore 598139 (Other outlets: Clementi and West Coast) 12:00pm - 03:00pm (Last Order: 2:30pm) 05:30pm - 10:00pm (Last Order: 9:30pm) * Every 1st and 3rd monday of the month closed. Sunday - It's another round of celebrations! Thanks to my caregroup for the surprise cake after morning service! It was another fruity mango cake. Yumz! We had a family dinner and yet another cake! Dinner at The Good Trio was our first try too and dishes were rather unique to be worth a try. Address: #01-111, Thomson Plaza, 301 Upper Thomson Rd, Singapore 574408 We are thankful for our family and friends; all the blessings of love, angbaos, presents and prayers that have been bestowed upon us. We are thankful and grateful and give thanks to God for you. :) Today, we celebrated 大姑‘s birthday! Tried out a new restaurant Ming Chung Restaurant that specialises in authentic Henghua food. The location isn't the most convenient but there was still a queue even on a rainy day. Must reserve in advance especially for a big party, and especially after it was recently featured on Channel News Asia. Food was reasonable and affordable.
Must-try of course is the Henghua style lor mee that tastes better with a little vinegar and pepper. Limited choice of dishes but sufficient. Service was reasonable with many servers during the dinner peak, though with too many customers, one did forget our request once. We occupied the table for quite a while, with the cake-cutting and chit-chatting but they were still patient to serve us. Can see the boss walking around the restaurant now and then too. Faith as usual is the center of attraction and had fun singing the birthday song and helping to cut the cake. Upcoming birthdays will be that of Papa's and Mama's! :)
And we celebrated Er Yi's birthday today. We had her favourite crabs! :)
Spot Mummy's new hairstyle - a cooler, lighter look! :) Thanks to Julia from Apgujeong @ Bishan J8. Did the Mucota hair treatment too - my second time. Loving the soft texture of my hair now. :) Time really flies and we're into the second quarter of the year! April is a month of celebrations (Bernard's birthday and mine) and things are getting exciting with less than 3 months to the arrival of Baby Faith. We'll have one more to join us this time next year. :)
