Look at some of the learning activities we did today! We talked about the colour Purple and did some colouring too. We coloured a Purple brinjal. It is also one of the dishes for dinner this evening. Mummy coloured the green and Faith was in charge of the Purple. The air quality was bad this evening and we wore our masks as we made our way home. Faith is more receptive to wearing the mask now compared to last year. Oh, how she has grown. :)

Today, we woke up very early in the morning to be at the airport to welcome Auntie Pentecost who is back from her missions stint in American Samoa. Faith woke up early too. :) For learning, we did Purple jelly today! And mummy incorporated counting into this activity. We put one longan, one lychee and one Purple grape into each cup and counted 1,2,3,4 and after mummy dissolved the jelly crystals, we counted 1,2,3,4,5 scoops of the solution into each cup! :) Faith's Milestones
We thank God that Faith has been developing well. Recently we discovered that she's able to: 1) Click her tongue 2) Gurgle with water while rinsing her mouth 3) Blow bubbles in water when swimming It is a special long weekend - a special time to remember Jesus' death and resurrection. He is Alive!
Good Friday - We attended service in the morning and went home for a rest while Papa went for a interview recording. In the evening, we went to Ikea to get a bookcase for Faith's increasing volume of books. There was a long queue for delivery and we thank God we were able to get the contact for an external delivery company that helps us deliver on the very night itself - with extra $ of course. Saturday - Mummy has to be at work and Papa brought Faith to Kidz Amaze and even signed up for membership. Probably due to the long weekend, the place was pretty crowded with 2 birthday parties going on at the same time. The noise was too much for Faith and she prefers to be at the baby and toddler play area. Also, spot Faith in her new carseat. With Didi coming along, we've decided to upgrade her to a toddler seat. It seems to be more comfortable for her and she's been enjoying her car rides. We got the Britax at the recent Taka Baby Fair - after comparing the comfort, security and price. Sunday - We had our Easter service at church and Papa & Mama conducted a Parenting class for 3 couples; all parents and parents-to-be. We met Grandpa, Grandma and Gugu for dinner. See Faith enjoying her time with them. :) Today, we started a new unit. We'll be learning about Kittens, Purple and Kindness for the upcoming weeks. We went to the library this morning to get a set of new books too and look what we got from our supermarket trip this afternoon! We've got some purple jelly, plums, brinjals, purple dragonfruit and purple sweet potato snack. :)
Today we completed the last activity for the unit and made a greeting card. Today's bible story was about Jesus death and resurrection and we waiting Patiently for His return. Just in time for the season of Good Friday and Easter too. Mummy recently also bought a stack of sticker books for Faith (since she loves stickers so much) and we started on one today. We did the alphabets Aa, Bb, Cc and Dd. Look at how serious Faith is. :) In line with Easter and her love for "小白" (referring to white rabbit), mummy thought of an activity for Faith, also to make use of some recycled cardboards. (Cardboard from a toilet seat we got for Faith recently and from Grandma's new set of curtain) Faith helped to paste the pink circles onto the cardboard but was afraid of the fluffy cotton balls, so mummy had to do the job. Felt that it would be too wasteful to paste the whole thing with cotton balls so Mummy used some white paper instead. :P This activity provided some "entertainment" for Faith during her lunch. :) Mummy got home from work in the evening and found Faith sleeping in this position. She seems to like being in this particular position these few days. Found it very familiar - similar to those cake toppers which we had for baby full month previously. Managed to find a cute picture online. :)
Faith turns 21 months today! Hip hip hooray!
We went for a swim today and did some learning of course. Today's colouring page was a bit challenging and mummy had to do most of the work. We did counting bears and counting Ducks (along with a song). And she had her lunch with Yellow plate, Yellow spoon and Yellow plate. :) p/s: On a side note, we finally registered for Faith's kindy yesterday for Year 2017. A load off mummy's mind... :P There was no Mama school on Friday as we were all in church for a seminar. It was Faith's first time at the nursery of VFC Tampines and she had fun. It was just Faith and Jiejie Jessica in the nursery for almost the whole day. Photos courtesy of Nursery worker, Sis Cyndi. :) Saturday was another activity-filled day. We had a yummy breakfast of prata before mummy headed to work. Afternoon, we attended the Full month party of baby Asher. It was great to meet Baby Asher again. Mummy had a good time catching up with her friends :) We went back to rest for a while before heading out again in the evening to Sentosa. It was a happening weekend with the school holidays. There was the Kidz Flea going on and performances too. We also took a cable ride and managed to catch some fireworks from the air at the end of our ride! :) Sunday - After service, we went to Toa Payoh for our lunch and then to OCBC bank to deposit Faith's angbao money. Teaching her the importance of saving from young... :)
This morning, we had something interesting for breakfast! We made Duck sandwich with a cutter and decorated it with a puff. Funny thing is that Faith prefers the side crust and not the centre of the bread. Mummy tried to make it more palatable with some nutella and Faith did lick the nutella and took some nibbles of the bread. And we have a new learning toy! Counting bears with matching cups. Faith was very focused and matched all the bears correctly. There were some bears, she placed in the wrong cups, but when mummy reminded her to check, she retrieved the "wrong" bear and placed it in the matching cup. And after matching the bears and cups, we did some counting too. Look as Faith helps Mummy to line the bears in a row. Mummy is happy that she is learning well. Praise the Lord!
Instead of painting the Ducks, Mummy let Faith use the Dot markers which was neater and easier to control within the small space. Still, Faith did a few dots of blue on the red duck :P Took the chance to do counting ducks too. Look at her cheeky expression! And in the afternoon, we had a fun outing with friends. We met for lunch and tried Seoul Yummy, went to an indoor playground, enjoyed a mini carousel ride together and then headed to Pororo Park! Thanks to Auntie A for the treat! There are some partner rates and special prices for organisations so be sure to check their website for more details.
It is our first time at the park. It was not as big as the one in Korea of course but big enough to keep all the children entertained for 2 hours. It was the school holidays and the park was more crowded than usual but not overly crowded, which was good. To me, I feel the most interesting part of the park was the train ride. We asked Faith if she wanted to go on it, alone and she nodded. But when we tried to leave her with her friends she cried. Well, we'll try again when she's older. And the mummies enjoyed our chit-chat session with food and drinks as the children played. We also enjoyed a short 15-minute song and dance session at 4pm, just before we left. Faith always gets excited with song and dance and she did enjoy the session. Faith was tired and slept on the way home. :) |
