Didi Edward is growing well at 11 weeks. We had a visit to the PD yesterday; with weight at 6.54 kg, height at 63.2 cm and head circumference at 39.2 cm. In the nurse's words. "He is off the charts"! Praise God for a strong and healthy Edward. His first jab went well. A little cry when the needle went in but all was well in a minute. :)

Our toddler Faith is learning so fast and well. And sometimes Mummy is amazed at how much and how fast she is absorbing. Some things are taught to her intentionally, some not. Recently, she loves playing with our mobile phones (well, like most kids do). She has learnt to press on the correct app for the right function. Like Gallery to "look at Faith's photos" or Youtube to "watch videos". We don't let her watch everything but more educational ones eg. Puffing Billy train after we sat on one during our Aussie trip or how documentary videos of planes taking off and landing etc. She has also learnt how to take photos with our mobiles. See photos below: a selfie and another she took of Didi Edward. :P For school, we did some activities this week besides reading about Tiger. We learnt that Tigers has stripes on their bodies. The thicker lines were drawn by Faith. She's very interested to spell and write her name recently too. Notice her name on the paper, which Mama helped her to write. :) On a side note, she's recently started calling Mama as Mummy too, sometimes. Cos the Mama calls her mother as "Mummy". :) Another colouring activity done. Mummy purposely chose this as we revised the colour "Orange".
We had a short getaway to Penang with lots of eating and shopping to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This time Faith jiejie went along with us. We stayed at a nice boutique hotel and enjoyed the nice food and personalised service. Coincidentally, we flew by Tiger Airways, just when we are on the topic on Tiger! :) For the first lesson back home, Faith gets to use the newly-bought jumbo pencils which Mama just got for her in Penang. After tracing the number twice, she started doodling on the paper. She is an expressive artist who doesn't like to be restrained. :P *****
Faith at 26 months is developing very well. Just want to jot down this episode for the record. Faith was on her way back from Heguru in the train. After a few stations, an "Ah Gong" (around her grandpa's age) boarded the train and sat next to Faith. Faith (without any prompting from us): Ah Gong! Ah Gong: Hello! F: How are you? AG (very surprised): Good. (shows thumbs up) F: Thumbs up (show thumbs up) AG: You are so cute. F: Thank you. AG: How old are you? F: Two years old (holds up 2 index fingers, cos she can't put up 2 fingers on the same hand) .... F(Getting ready to alight): Bye bye, goodnight, see u next time (although it's just late afternoon) ;P She always amazes us and surprises us with her development. She has grown up so fast and able to hold a conversation now. Thankful that God has blessed with such a sweet spirit to bring joy to the people around her. Yes, even strangers too. :) |
