The photoshoot gown fitting and the trial make up session went smoothly. Thank God. For one who does not put on make up often, S said that the make up done may seem elaborate to me but it is actually quite basic for a photoshoot. Indeed it is one of the most elaborate make up I've ever done, with thick foundation, eye liner and all.

Got a pair of simple gold sandals to go with a red cheongsam after the fitting. The red cheongsam (with gold sequins) will also be my tea dress. We did not manage to get a shot of the gown during the fitting. Did not manage to get a pair of silver or white sandals to go with the wedding gown. Will just wear my old and trusted, and well-seasoned pair for the photoshoot.

Looking forward to 1st May, when we'll have our indoor as well as outdoor photoshoot. Praying for good weather: clear blue sky and fluffy, white clouds. =)

This afternoon, I accompanied Huizhi to the bridal studio for her wedding gowns fitting and trial make up. Thank God, all the gowns are ok except for one piece that need some minor alteration.

Another thing that is praise worthy is that the company main make up artiste, S, came back to office specially for us. Today, we learnt that S had resigned from the company. As we had specifically listed him in our contract to do the make up, the company had to make special arrangement for him to come back and help Huizhi to do her make up.

According to our friends' (who also engaged the same bridal studio) feedback, S is very good with make up and is very patient to explain. Indeed, he is very helpful and patient to share tips and pointers on make up, hair-style and even help us a lot during the gowns selection.

Huizhi looks very very beautiful with her make up on. This is one of the rare few times I see her with make up. =P

Normally, she does not put on make up as she teaches P.E in school. Maybe, I need to encourage her to put on some make up when she is not teaching P.E ... =)

As our photo shoot is on Labour Day, it is very important that I remove my braces in time for it. Hence, with much anticipation, I was praying that my dentist will remove braces this month.

Last Monday, I went to the visit my dentist. After asking me to open my mouth as big as possible, he stared hard into my mouth before asking me to bite down. Following which, he asked, "Are you happy with your teeth already?". Without much hesitation, I responded with a big "YES!" He smiled and announced that I can finally remove my braces. However, as removing the braces is a very long and tedious process, he said that I had to come back another day for an hour appointment. My heart sank.

As usual, he proceeded to remove the bands that hold the braces together. Suddenly, he shrieked and told his assistant that he must remove my braces there and then as the main metal wire that joins all the metal brackets is broken and it is even more tedious to redo the wire then to remove my braces.... Hahaha, he did not know that... God is doing a miracle to have my braces removed there and then... =P

Praise God. Don't have to worry about my braces anymore... Can focus now on the photo shoot on Labour Day. =)

Pastor Dishan shared at the evening service tonight. He touched on the rising trend of failed marriages in recent times and how the increasing number of "how-to" and self-help books did not seem to help.

It is still the old saying "A couple who prays together, stays together" that is most effective. I caught that. Bernard and I already had advice from our seniors (ie. parents and aunts) that this is exactly what we should do. And that we'll aim to do even right before our marriage. =)

Praying together is very important as we all understand the power of agreement. "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven." Matthew18:19

With the first HDB appointment fixed, the next thing thing we are looking at is where to go for our honeymoon. I have a week of the September holidays to go for a short trip and a longer one at the end of the year.

We have considered a few places like Thailand, Philippines and Melbourne self-drive for end of the year. We've also had some suggestions for places like Malaysian and the Bintan beach resorts, Japan, New Zealand etc.

Where do you think is the place that's suitable for us? We'd love to hear from you. Do leave your comments here. =)

Some suggested places so far include:
Rio de Jane Brazil
Honolulu, Hawaii
Cancun, Mexico
Surfer’s Paradise, Australia
Negril, Jamaica
Miami, Florida
Viti Levu, Fiji
Boracay, Philippines
Tenerife, Canary Islands
Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand

However, considering we only have a week (September School Holiday) for our honeymoon , we will only consider places which are less than 3 to 4  hours flight away.

Rare find... =) 04/06/2008

As you are aware, our church requires all couples who plan to get married to attend 3 seminars on Marriage Preparation. On top of that, we are also required to attend 5 sessions of Pre-Marital Counseling with a married couple from our church.

We have been blessed to have Bro William and Sis Mary as our PMC Counselors.  Coincidentally,  Bro William is a  businessman  while  Sis Mary used to be a teacher. "Same combination" like Huizhi and myself. =)

During our 2nd PMC Counseling Session on Saturday, we had to do a MBTI Temperament Questionnaire.

Our profiles:
Myself: ENFP , Huizhi: ISFJ

There are in total 16 types of profile. Our profiles are both accurate described accordingly to the MBTI analysis. Interestingly, we are both quite rare. For example, ENFP is found in only about 5% of the general population while ISFJ is found in 6 out of 100 people. =)

After understanding each other profiles, we feel that we complement each other very well. My weaknesses are balanced by Huizhi's strengths; vice versa.
